This is an A3 board, made of our lightweight, super durable material (the same material our visual symbols are made of) that shows a whole range of visual symbols relevant to use in an early years setting such as a nursery, childminder's or preschool.
This board supports the children in your setting by:
- allowing any non-verbal children, or children that struggle with communication, to point to a symbol to communicate their wants or need.
- allowing you to reinforce what you are communicating by pointing to the relevant symbol. That way the children can see what you are trying to say.
- developing their literacy skills by having the word under each symbol, thus supporting early ready
- supporting emotional development by giving children a change to consider how they are feeling, or perhaps how someone else is feeling.
Choose between our two different styles - one displaying feelings, and one without feelings but with more visual symbols, OR choose a personalised version and email us with the visuals that you would like on your board. You just need to choose them from our list of available visuals.
