The new Medical Communication Book from Create Visual Aids is designed to give a voice to someone that struggles with spoken words when they are in a medical setting or medical emergency. It also supports them in understanding what is being communicated to them by a medical member of staff. 

The book includes 62 removable visual symbol cards that are attached to the book with VELCRO® Brand hook and loop and can easily be changed around as needed, allowing the relevant communication to take place. 

This book supports both receptive communication - allowing someone to receive information, and expressive communication - giving someone a voice so that they can communicate with others.

I've worked with medical professionals to create these resources and make them as effective as they possibly can be. It's really, really hard however, to include all of the visual symbols that are right for every medical setting. If you like the look of these resources but think they could do with a tweak to adapt them to your medical setting, please, please get in touch.
